  1. I found these at Whole Foods and I was so excited to try them! The mint chip is every bit as delicious as your agave-sweetened ice cream! Thank you so much!

  7. Hi Anonymous! We're so busy getting all of our new products out to market, we've been falling behind a little in getting them onto our website. We hope to have them up there soon, but in the meantime, here are the nutritionals for the chocolate and vanilla flavors: http://twitpic.com/4pfvo5 @elefk1986! All of our new No Sugar Added pints and novelty bars are certified gluten-free! @Cheryl, that's a great idea, and we'll be sure to pass it on to our R&D team! In the meantime, we hope you'll enjoy some of our other flavors!

  9. Can you get these in Canada?

  10. Our original soy-based and coconut milk ice cream is available throughout Canada, and we just recently began rolling out our Coconut Milk Beverages there, too. We hope to have more delicious dairy-free products for our friends in Canada later this year, so stay tuned ...

  11. I called Whole Foods In walnut creek CA and they said they dont have them. Is there a way I can find out who carries them in my area somehow?

  12. I love the mint flavor! Would love to see the Mocha Almond in the no sugar added!

  13. So great that you are doing these with a non toxic choice of sweeteners! Bet they are low carb too? How many carbs. Can't wait to try them..

  14. I love the idea of no sugar added, but why are you not using stevia? Erythritol is still somewhat processed isn't it. I read that it is derived from corn. I would have been more thrilled if the sweetener was stevia, since it is now approved for food use.

  15. Jenna, I found them at the Walnut Creek store on the 29th. Had to ask someone though. They were way at the top of the freezer and I would never have found them there. They only had vanilla, chocolate and mint chip. I'm not a fan of mint chip so I am going to ask them to carry the Toasted Almond Chip and Butter Pecan which I'm sure that I would prefer. The bars were at the end of the freezer aisle near the checkout on the lower right. But I wasn't as interested in those.

  16. Hi Everyone! Thank you so much for your interest and enthusiasm! Jenna, our new No Sugar Added frozen desserts are just starting to roll out onto store shelves. Please ask the nice folks at Whole Foods in Walnut Creek to bring them in for you. Laura, they would not be considered low-carb. However, our Unsweetened Coconut Milk, Original Coconut Milk Creamer, and new Sugar-free Original Coconut Milk each have only 1g of carbs per serving. Anonymous, while our new Sugar-free Coconut Milk Beverages are sweetened with stevia, we found that erythritol and monk fruit were much better natural sweetening choices for our non-dairy frozen desserts. We tried stevia as part of the sweetener system but its aftertaste was too strong. Also, the erythritol is not just there for the purpose of sweetening. Ice cream products tend to have an undesirable icy mouthfeel if they don't have enough solid ingredients. Without the sugar it needs some form of solids to smooth out the texture so it doesn't eat like a slushy. Eythritol helps fill that void. Super sweeteners like stevia are not used at high enough levels to add significant amounts of solids to a recipe.

Erythritol is a naturally derived sugar substitute produced from the fermenation of carbohydrates. The product we are using is derived from non-GM corn and is certified non-GMO. Even though erythritol is absorbed, it is 95% less caloric than other carbohydrates because most of it is not metabolized. Some other benefits of erythritol: It is about 70% as sweet as sucrose and does not affect blood sugar levels. It also does not promote tooth decay because it is not metabolized by oral bacteria. Erythritol is an FDA Generally Recognized as Safe (Gras) approved ingredient for use as a sweetener and also approved by the USDA National Organic Program for inclusion in Organic products.

  17. @Anonymous, don't pass up the Mini Fudge Bars! They're so good, they taste like frozen chocolate mousse. And at only 80 calories and no sugar, they're an insanely delicious guilt-free treat!

  18. I bought the Coconut milk and was disappointed to find that there was no coconut taste. I don't get it. Your milk was $2.00 higher than the Lactaid that I normally buy. I did not get what I paid for.
I had also tried 2 coconut water products that I bought at fresh Market. One was Vita-Cocoa, 100% pure coconut water! The 2nd one was Zico Coconut Water. There was not coconut flavor.
Is this a marketing ploy? Please explain.
I believe that you are a good company but, this needs to be addressed. thank you, Patty Murray pattyjm2222@msn.com

  19. Hi Patty! Thank you for your comment and for trying So Delicious Coconut Milk Beverage. Our coconut milk is made from organic, non-GMO verified coconuts and has a mild coconut flavor, which makes it a very versatile replacement for dairy products. It works well in cereal, smoothies, and all kinds of recipes, because it compliments flavors without being overpowering.

  21. Please do keep going with this, there's a great demand for sugar free and dairy free desserts. I would love to see other classic flavors like coffee and pistachio.

  22. LOVE these new desserts. Much needed on a low-sugar diet. They taste amazing - both the mint chip and the chocolate. I'm not a big fan of the "chip" part of the mint [too much], but it's worth it to get the minty goodness. I'm hoping my store starts to stock the Almond flavor soon because that sounds delicious.

  23. Where can I find these in Iowa? The coconut treats, especially!! Thanks

  24. Any idea of what other stores might be carrying the no-sugar added ice creams (other than Whole Foods)? I got a taste of some of the mint chocolate chip the other day and it was DIVINE! I am very excited to try the other flavors but can't find them ANYWHERE in Denver/Boulder area of Colorado. I asked the grocery/frozen food manager at Sprouts Markets to carry them if possible (they have the no-sugar added coconut milk) but who knows if that will happen. Any plans to carry them in larger chains like King Soopers, Safeway, Walmart (perhaps Sunflower Markets as well)???

I need my non-dairy, non-soy ice cream fix!!

  25. I, for one, am thrilled that you're using erythritol instead of maltitol, or sorbitol or any of those other sugar alcohols which are not calorie free and do have an impact on blood sugar.

  26. We want so delicious in Norway (and probably altso in the rest of Europe)!!!
I am absolutely sure they will be a great success! There are no other products available here!
No time too loose, get in contact with some dealers soon!!! Norwegians are usually very good in english, so that won't be a problem:)

  27. Hi Rebecca! Thank you for your enthusiasm and support! We're delighted to hear that you love our Mint Chip flavor! Our No Sugar Added Coconut Milk ice cream is still fairly new, so it there still may be some stores out there that don't know about them yet. We're pretty sure the nice folks at your local Sprouts will be happy to order them for you, so we're glad that you asked them! Letting the store where you shop know that you want a product they don't currently stock is an effective way to get it on the shelf! We hope that some of our other No Sugar Added flavors will soon be in your freezer!

Thank you, Lily! We'll be sure and let our sales team know you asked for So Delicious products in Norway!

  28. Tried the No sugar added Vanilla Ice cream tonight and it was AMAZING. Within the past year I've had to find more dairy free, diet friendly natural food dessert choices and this has to be the absolute best - New Favorite! You can't beat 100 calories for 1 serving (85 g) Super generous and perfect! I mean I'm pretty much obsessed! Thank you so much for a superb product, it's perfect! -summer

  29. What about using Coconut Palm Sugar (sugar from coconuts). I'm reading that that has a very low glycemic index, lower than Maltitol even. AND, please do make the Mocha Almond in sugar free.

  30. I just tried the mint chip ice cream - (yep, at lunchtime!) - and it is fantastic!! I need to track down the butter pecan :).

    ReplyDelete
  31. This is so GREAT. The butter pecan is to die for. I will say, though, your next batch should try out only using an alcohol-free stevia sweetener (flavored or plain) and with cacao instead of the chocolate....then I will REALLY go nuts! But still, this is the best option out there and I'm so thankful you listen to your customers!

  32. We also want So Delicious products in Spain and Portugal!!!!

  33. I would love to see the NSA products in Publix stores. I am thrilled that you are making this product with erythritol. I enjoy making my own ice cream at home using erythritol and your unsweetened coconut milks, but sometimes I really just want to go out and buy a pint! My nearest Whole Foods carries the NSA products, but I have sit in traffic for two hours to get there and back. I'd buy a lot of the NSA chocolate mint ice cream if it was sold at stores only 5-10 minutes away.

  34. I'm so thrilled with the sugar free chocolate ice cream. The carb counts look a little suspicious. The math doesn't add up. We're missing four grams of sugar but I don't care. Even at 4 carbs per serving, it's still a bargain and I want to buy it by the caseload. Is it catching on? Can we expect it to be in more stores next to the sugar versions?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Hi Stephanie! We're delighted to hear that you are enjoying our No Sugar Added frozen dessert! If the store where you usually shop doesn't carry them, please ask them to bring them in. The total carbohydrate grams number on the label includes fiber grams, which are not digestible and therefore non-caloric. So you'll want to subtract the fiber grams from the total carbohydrate grams before multiplying by 4. Calculating the numbers that way will give a sum much closer to the total calories number indicated on the label, which may still be off by a small amount due to rounding up of fractions.

  36. Hi,

My wife is a dairy-intolerant celiac vegan, and we have really enjoyed the range of So Delicious ice cream.

However, over the last 3-6 months the price (Fairway, New York City) has increased, from ~$3.79 through to (today) $5.49. Unless the product carries implied risk for the stability of the global economy, this seems a pretty steep increase.

Has something changed in the recipe (gold leaf perhaps?) to warrant such a massive increase, or are you simply trying to reposition the product?

    thanks

    Peter

  37. Hi Peter! Thanks for your feedback and your question. We're thrilled that you and your wife are enjoying our dairy-free ice cream so much! The MSRP for our frozen pints and quarts ranges from $4.49 to $5.99 depending on the flavor and variety and hasn't changed in some time, so if you were finding them at $3.79, you were getting a terrific deal! We often run promotions and sales throughout the year, so you may find priced lower from time time time. And we also offer coupons on our website and on our Facebook page. Right now, you can get $1-off on any of our coconut milk beverages here: http://bit.ly/dV53a2 Enjoy!

  40. Hi Anonymous! We never say never, so there's always a chance. But for now your best bet will be Whole Foods or your favorite natural foods store. If they don't carry it, please ask them to bring it in for you. Here's a handy request form you can bring with you the next time you stop in: http://bit.ly/dOv9Oo

  42. So Delicious Diary Free Coconut Milk Fudge Bars were such an unexpected choice for dessert this past holiday. This was a better choice of frozen treats that I would have ever imagined to give my lactose intolerant, peanut allergy, picky eater children and nieces and nephews.
They cleaned out the box and we as parents were so happy no one had a stomach ache or worse floating flying biscuits or gas.
    Thanks Again So Delicious,
    Mrs. Rochelle

  44. I just made a vegan milkshake for my toddlers and I. A pint of your NSA Coconut Milk Mint Ice Cream blended with 1.25 cups of unsweetened almond milk- it was a slice of heaven! And the kids LOVED it!

  45. I found these at Safeway and OMG, SO GOOD! May favorite is Cherry Amaretto! One pint is one serving, right? RIGHT?

  46. I love all the So Delicious products! When I came to the US I had such a hard time cooking meals at first, because I'm allergic to soy, and lactose intolerant. I was so happy when I found So Delicious in my local Whole Foods, and I was even more happy when I discovered all the awesome ice cream (I especially like the Coconut flavor and Cookies 'n Cream). I hope it will come to Europe at one point in the future, because I know I will miss it when I go back to Germany in a few years!

  49. Thank you so much for making high fiber, low sugar treats for me to eat. I am a fiber nut and try to eliminate all sugar from my diet (I eat under 8g a day) so seeing the no sugar added varieties almost made my heart skip with excitement! I'll be stocking up crazily this weekend.
